Thing 6 - Wiki's

A wiki (derived from the Hawaiian term for quick) is essentially a small piece of server software that allows users to freely create and edit Web content using any Web browser and no other special tools. Wikis have several unique properties compared with other kinds of collaborative communication forums. Any and all information being aggregated in a wiki can be changed or deleted by anyone and so it can help in a lot of ways, for example you're searching for a word you can easily look up the meaning at the free encyclopedia produced by wiki users or if you are having a group project you can look up all the information on the project and store it without any problem. Then other members of your group can access, add and edit that content. This creates an organized social networking and easier then emailing.
